Getting around at the seaside
Through the images I rediscover my homeland the island Schouwen Duiveland in Zeeland. After my stay in Tuscany I continued to send my images as virtual postcards by email to friends.
Songlines of country music accompany the pictures and they concern all the sentimental aspects of wandering: coming home, desire, leaving and nostalgia.
In 2004 I was invited by Pier Luigi Tazzi to participate in the exhibition Spread in Prato. My virtual postcards of the series Songlines were transferred into real postcards.
