115 Ribbons l 624 Emily Dickinson

The video is inspired by poem 624 by Emily Dickinson, published in 1890 by Emily Dickinson. Fragments of Poem 624, accompany a sequence of 115 ribbons.

The ribbons are tied around rectangular pieces of cardboard, on each piece of cardboard is written by hand the date: day, month and year.

The cards date from 1910 to 1940. Connie found the ribbons in a shoebox on a French Brocante. She photographed the ribbons in 2013 and brought them together in a video slideshow in 2019.
