Flowers in vases.
During years I have been collecting vases made by the pottery Alpho. Alpho is an abbrevation of the name Alphonse Mouton, born in 1900 into a family of potters.
Region: Saint Vallier in the Drôme region in south east France
Period: 1930 to 80.
He produced mainly for the tourist market using a series of glazes in colours ranging from dark blue, green and later black and brown. Pieces are often numbered and signed ALPHO.
