'Getting Around' portrays the immediate surroundings of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa in Tuscany. The serie concludes with a photograph of Tellaro, a village at the coast of Liguria, record of Dekkers last days in Italy.
Songlines of lyrics accompany the pictures concerning all the aspects of wandering.
In 2002 Dekker started to send her first "virtual postcards" from Tuscany as a way to remain in contact with friends. All together they became a diary.
